What is ASTRANADA?
ASTRANADA is a Dubai-based, commission-led atelier creating wearable architectural
jewelry and accessories. Operating on an absolute digital axis with no physical presence, the atelier works entirely online. Its exclusive-to-order philosophy rejects standard industry overproduction, eliminating excess inventory for a zero-waste lifecycle—no construct exists before its collector commissions it. The atelier bridges the gap between algorithmic
complexity and human expression.

Balancing computational innovation with refined craftsmanship, each creation is parametrically designed and 3D-printed, integrated with metal hardware or gemstone accents when the form demands. This hybridized process fundamentally challenges traditional notions of form and structure, resulting in constructs that are structurally sophisticated, remarkably feather-light, and aesthetically new.

Sustainable yet durable, each construct is an exercise in thoughtful design — crystallized for those who believe in the extraordinary, conceived to celebrate the wearer's identity and authenticity at an ethereal level.
What does ASTRANADA signify?
ASTRA represents a moving dimensional space—star in ancient Latin.
NADA signifies the pristine droplets formed on a surface—dew in Classical Arabic, and also the name of our founder. Together, ASTRANADA metaphorically embodies dimensionality and materiality drawn from two opposite dimensions.Who is behind ASTRANADA?
With a foundation in graphic design spanning over two decades, Nada Ashi evolved into the realm of parametric design and digital fabrication—founding ASTRANADA as the definitive culmination of that creative trajectory.
What defines the ASTRANADA design philosophy?
ASTRANADA operates on an uncompromising ‘Exclusive-to-Order’ philosophy as a direct rebellion against the environmental toll of mass production. By adopting a calculated, slow-tech mindset, each piece is engineered and materialized only when a direct coordinate is established with its collector—ensuring absolute zero stock and a zero-waste lifecycle.
What is "Wearable Architecture"?
For ASTRANADA, Wearable Architecture is the practice of applying the logic, precision, and aesthetic principles of architectural design to jewelry and accessories — producing forms that are structurally sophisticated, feather-light, and unmistakably expressive. Not fashion. Not conventional. Something entirely its own.
What does Digital Atelier mean?
It signifies that all commissions are initiated, developed, and fulfilled through direct digital correspondence without a physical boutique, operating on an absolute digital axis. From our base in Dubai, every design is conceived, coded, and calibrated digitally—deployed to collectors worldwide.
What commission types does ASTRANADA offer?
The atelier offers four commission models: Bespoke, Personalization, Limited Edition,
and Collaboration. Each follows a distinct sequence and timeline confirmed within the
formal proposal. Can I commission a completely original piece?
Yes. Under the Bespoke model, the atelier works in direct dialogue with the collector from initial concept through computational construction to produce a singular wearable form. No two bespoke pieces are identical.
What is the difference between Bespoke and Personalization?
Bespoke begins from zero—a completely new form conceived entirely around your specific vision. Personalization takes an existing ASTRANADA construct and recalibrates its parameters to your expression, adapting its dimensions, material finish, color tone, or metal accents.
Can I add a personalized engraving or inscription to my piece?
Yes. Under the Personalization model, you can request a complimentary bespoke inscription to be codified permanently within the interior architecture of the form. This can include a signature monogram, name, mantra, silent wish, or a significant date.
Can I request a collaboration with ASTRANADA?
Yes. ASTRANADA welcomes collaborations with museums, architects, designers, artists, institutions, and avant-garde maisons who share an absolute commitment to innovation and material integrity.
Can the atelier decline a commission?
Yes. ASTRANADA operates on a strictly curated, exclusive basis. The atelier reserves the right to decline any commission inquiry at its sole discretion; not every digital inquiry will result in a formal proposal.
How does the design and commission process work?
Every commission progresses through The Framework: a structured five-phase timeline spanning Initiate, Consult, Design, Fabricate, and Deliver. This seamless progression ensures absolute intentionality from pure digital code to the physical collection of your wearable architecture.
How do I initiate a commission?
Submit a formal inquiry through the designated portal on astranada.com, selecting your preferred commission model: Bespoke, Personalization, Limited Edition, or Collaboration.
What happens after I submit my request?
The atelier will evaluate your parameters and respond within a 48-hour window to open a private channel of communication. Once a structural briefing is established—defining the scope and technical specifications—the atelier will issue a formal commission proposal detailing total investment and the computational timeline. You have ten (10) calendar days to confirm and secure the proposal before it expires.
When does fabrication begin?
Physical fabrication is activated only once the non-refundable 50% deposit has been cleared. No construct enters the manufacturing sequence before this stage.
Will I see the design or prototype before fabrication begins?
Yes. During the design phase, structural concepts and digital ideations are developed and shared closely with the collector for discussion and refinement, ensuring the final form perfectly aligns with your intent before materialization begins.
What defines the ASTRANADA material ecosystem?
The atelier operates across three distinct material worlds: advanced additive mediums,
precious or semi-precious metal hardware, gemstones or pearls introduced only when the
form demands it.How does digital code manifest into physical matter?
Every construct begins as an algorithmic matrix. Through additive manufacturing, complex geometries are materialized layer by layer, achieving absolute structural fidelity while retaining
a signature, high-precision tactile finish. What 3D printing mediums drive your geometries?
Photopolymer Resins:
Cured layer by layer under precise ultraviolet commands to capture intricate, complex geometries in their purest, weightless state.PA12 Nylon:
Sintered by laser fire into a rugged, matte topography, PA12 Nylon balances structural integrity with an unexpected, gravity-defying lightness (fabricated via SLS or MJF).Engineered TPU:
A highly responsive, kinetic polymer engineered for structural flexibility, allowing complex computational lattices to articulate and breathe. How are metals and gemstones integrated into the constructs?
The atelier operates across three distinct material worlds: advanced additive mediums,
precious or semi-precious metal hardware, gemstones or pearls introduced only when
the form demands it.Are the pieces heavy to wear?
No. Despite their commanding architectural presence, ASTRANADA constructs are remarkably feather-light—a direct consequence of the complex computational geometries and advanced, low-density materials employed.
Why do some pieces exhibit surface texture or layer lines?
Minor micro-textural variations and structural layer lines are the definitive signatures of high-precision additive fabrication. Far from manufacturing defects, these marks represent the authentic, layer-by-layer biography of the form and are essential to its material integrity.
What finishing processes does each construct undergo?
This would bridge the fabrication and hand-refinement steps (post-processing, micro-abrasive polishing) that currently live in The Sequence on the main site but aren't represented in the FAQ Materials section.
How does the design and commission process work?
Execution windows vary by commission model. Limited Edition pieces follow a standard three- to four-week production and fulfillment sequence. Personalization schedules are determined upon evaluation of the requested structural adaptation. Bespoke and Collaboration commissions are engineered individually—the exact execution window is confirmed within your formal proposal.
Can the timeline be expedited?
No. All execution timelines are confirmed within the formal proposal, ensuring full transparency before the commission is activated. Once the commission is activated and the deposit cleared, the atelier remains entirely committed to the confirmed timeline and will communicate any adjustments directly and promptly.
What currency does ASTRANADA transact in?
All commissions are quoted and transacted exclusively in UAE Dirhams (AED).
What is the payment structure?
A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to activate Bespoke, Collaboration, and Personalization commissions, with the remaining 50% due upon completion prior to dispatch. Limited Edition acquisitions require full payment at the time of order.
Are there additional taxes or duties?
All acquisitions fulfilled within the UAE are subject to applicable VAT. For international collectors, all regional import duties, customs clearances, and localized taxes are the sole financial responsibility of the Collector.
